About
ISU Women’s Holiday Fair
The ISU Women’s Holiday Fair is a beloved handmade market held each November inside the Pond Student Union at Idaho State University. This festive two-day event celebrates the creativity of local artists, crafters, and makers—and serves as the primary fundraiser for the ISU Women’s Club Scholarship Program.
Founded in 1923, the ISU Women’s Club is the university’s oldest campus-affiliated organization. What began as a small gathering of faculty wives has grown into a vibrant community of faculty, staff, retirees, alumni, and friends, all connected by a shared mission: to foster friendship, enrich the ISU community, and support students through scholarships.
Through the Holiday Fair, this mission comes to life. Proceeds from vendor sales and booth fees go directly toward scholarships, helping students pursue their education and dreams. By taking part in the fair, you're not just celebrating handmade art—you're investing in the future of Idaho State University.

What's new for 2025
We know change can be hard—but after much thought and consideration, we've decided to transition the ISU Women’s Holiday Fair to a juried application process starting in 2025. In the past, vendor spots were filled on a first-come, first-served basis, but with limited booth space and growing interest, that system no longer supports the balanced, high-quality market we strive to create.
The new juried format allows us to thoughtfully curate a vibrant mix of makers by limiting the number of vendors in each category—such as jewelry, ceramics, glass, fiber, painting, and more. Our goal is to ensure a well-rounded shopping experience while giving all artists a fair and equal opportunity to be part of this beloved event.
But don’t worry—the application process is still simple and entirely online. You’ll be able to upload your photos, provide details about your work, and submit everything with just a few clicks.
Below you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about becoming a vendor at the ISU Women’s Holiday Fair.

Please note: past participation does not guarantee acceptance. The ISU Women’s Holiday Fair is a juried event, and each year’s applications are reviewed with fresh eyes to ensure a dynamic, high-quality, and diverse market.
Yes, the ISU Women’s Holiday Fair is now a juried event. We know this is a shift from past years when vendor spots were filled on a first-come, first-served basis—but as the fair continues to grow, so does the demand for a more curated and balanced market experience.
Moving to a juried application process allows us to ensure a well-rounded mix of artistic mediums and maintain a high standard of quality and originality. Every application is carefully reviewed based on originality, craftsmanship, presentation, and overall market fit.
Acceptance is not guaranteed, even for returning vendors. We strive to keep the show fresh by welcoming at least 30% new vendors each year, while also making sure categories like jewelry, ceramics, fiber, painting, glass, and woodworking are fairly represented.
What Kind of Vendors Are You Looking For?
This is a juried event, meaning vendors are carefully selected based on the quality, uniqueness, and originality of their work. We welcome:
We prioritize handmade, original items. Factory-made, mass-produced, or imported goods will not be accepted.
Booth fee payment
If you are selected as a vendor, your booth fee must be paid online using a credit or debit card. We will no longer accept payments via cash, check, or Venmo. This updated system ensures accurate tracking for both organizers and vendors, making the process smoother and more efficient for everyone.
Booth Dimensions
If you've been accepted you’ll receive setup instructions, arrival times, and layout maps a few weeks before the fair. Most vendors will set up Thursday evening or early Friday morning. We’ll be in touch with all the details!
All booth fees are non-refundable once paid. If you choose to cancel after payment, your booth space will be forfeited and cannot be transferred, traded, or sold to another vendor. In the event that the fair must be canceled by ISU or the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a refund minus a small processing fee.
What happens if I'm accepted but can't attend?
We understand that things come up, but please read our policy carefully:
Once accepted and paid, all booth fees are non-refundable.
If you cancel, your booth is forfeited and cannot be sold or transferred to another vendor.
We will fill canceled booths at our discretion from our waitlist.
If the event is canceled by ISU or due to an emergency, your booth fee will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee.
Can I share a booth with another vendor?
Yes! You may apply with a friend if:
We can provide tables and chairs upon your request, but you are responsible for bringing everything else needed to design and complete your booth space. This includes any booth walls, shelving, signage, lighting, décor, and display structures. All elements must be freestanding and fit within your designated space. If you require electricity, you’ll also need to bring your own power cords and power strip.
Details about requesting tables, chairs, and power access will be included in the application.
If I'm a past Holiday vendor will I be automatically accepted?
We understand it may be disappointing to hear, but past participation does not guarantee automatic acceptance into the show. As the market grows and evolves, all vendors—returning or new—must reapply each year. Our jury looks for growth, originality, and fresh offerings to ensure the fair remains diverse, high-quality, and inspiring for both vendors and shoppers alike.
Do you take a commission from my sales?
Yes. We collect 20% of all vendor sales during the fair. This commission is how we’re able to fund our annual scholarships for ISU students. Your participation directly supports the mission of the ISU Women’s Club to provide meaningful financial assistance—thank you for being part of it!
Do I need a sales permit or tax ID?
Yes... Vendors are responsible for complying with Idaho State Tax regulations. This may include applying for a temporary seller’s permit through the Idaho State Tax Commission. We’ll send out detailed instructions before the show.
